Silverstar Education has been ‘set up’ to dispel fears for children/young people and to inspire them to ‘want to learn’.

Discover the preferred learning style(s) and introduce new areas to suit an individual’s learning. When working 1:1/in groups differentiation is imperative. This can be through: Audio; Visual; Kinaesthetic – to include Games, Activities, Puzzles; Problem Solving Strategies; Investigations; VCOP; Storyboards; Films; Art; Music etc.

There are many areas which not only enhance someone’s learning, but also enable them to see the particular relevance in what they are doing and how it can then be extended.

The ability to encourage and educate a child/children is a very great privilege and one that should be entered into with fun, possibly entertainment, and a passion which inspires the young person to want to know and understand more. In addition to that the yearning to investigate, discern what is necessary/important to complete calculations and understand each stage in maths is imperative.

With English, not only the knowledge that ‘reading is fun’, but also that writing can be empowering, whether it be in a story format, poetry, non-fiction etc. There are many starting points, and I believe that ‘good modelling’ is a statutory requirement.

The first session is FREE to not only assess your child, but also to ensure that they feel comfortable being supported by me – an essential element in order to boost self-esteem.

 

Sessions are usually an hour in length and ‘bespoke’ to the needs of the child. If you would like to share the support with a sibling or a friend then this can also be arranged. If we agree a shared lesson I will discuss with you the alternative pricing.

 

ALL sessions take place in the learner’s home – parents/grandparents/guardians therefore have the opportunity to see the approach; enabling support, if required,  after the session. In addition to this questions can be asked at the time, or via email after the session.
